Reinforcing Staff

Staff and providers working in remote areas, where health care is massively needed, are often stretched to the limits of resources. They work long hours often for low pay, and they are isolated from colleagues, networks, and resources for both them and their family. Parents make these sacrifices to follow their path. These decisions often affect children in both good and not-good ways. Such places are not known to have acceptable educational systems.

1a) It is right that these families and their children's education is supported. Mission hospitals reflect the Love of Christ in the way they care for patients. This also must be in the was staff and providers are cared for. Perhaps there should be a strategic plan for this. This will be difficult at first but easy and reproducible soon thereafter.

Below are links to digital educational material for children. With these resources, parents and children will see what other children in age matched groups are learning around the world. These links connect to downloadable resources that parents can use to support get their children's education and get it to world standards without complete reliance on local school systems. In remote areas, digital band width will probably not support downloading the resources, thus someone in a large city will need to do this.

While a good local school system and fine teachers are preferred, until this is established and even after, these resources can get children to the same level as their age matched peers across the globe:)

1b) Children can learn about the environment and see animals in their own habitat all over the world:

2) Adults can have access to Bibles and Bible study and children can read digital Bibles in 455 languages

3) Staff and Providers need to be healthy to care for patients. Moreover, it is important that they are healthy for their own sake. Anesthesia and other providers need to be able to see. If they have cataracts that need surgery, then this, as well as glasses and reading glasses must be provided or supplemented. If providers cannot see they cannot work. Yearly health screens are very important and will detect these and other very fixable conditions.

A) Glasses, reading glasses for staff over 40 years old, cataract surgery - prn: With this benefit from the hospital, staff and providers needing glasses and being supplied with glasses, will be required to use them when they are caring for patients.
